Recently, Professor Li Youyong and Associate Professor Ji Yujin from our Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials in collaboration with Professor Chen Yong's research group from Purdue 17c起草视频, published a paper titled "A metastable pentagonal 2D material synthesized by symmetry-driven epitaxy" in Nature Materials.
Li Youyong, Ji Yujin, and the research team of Chen Yong successfully achieved both theoretical simulation and experimental synthesis of PdTe2, a metastable pentagonal two-dimensional material. Through theoretical calculations and experimental characterization, they jointly demonstrated the crucial role that substrate symmetry plays in the epitaxial process.
